Murdoch and son get ready to face Leveson – Diary – News – Evening Standard
One hopes the Murdochs have agreed readily to appear before Leveson. Last summer both father and son sent a number of apologies for non-attendance to the Commons committee conducting their inquiry into phone hacking, a farce that reached its denouement when the Deputy Serjeant at Arms, sadly not in full costume of tights and a mace, was dispatched across London with a letter summoning Rupert to the inquiry.
The Leveson Inquiry does not release names and schedules much in advance. However, the Murdochs look likely to be summoned for the beginning of Module 3, on the relations between government and the media.
